B.Methodology
Latency Measurement (OSLTT)
I utilize the Open Source Latency Testing Tool (OSLTT) for all input lag measurements. Each device undergoes a standardized testing protocol in a controlled environment.
—1,000 samples per test phase
—Environmental temp at 22°C (±0.5°C)
—Consistent mechanical actuation pressure
—Background processes optimized via custom ISO
Statistical Consistency
Beyond average latency, I measure standard deviation and 99th percentile stability. A device with a low average but high variance will receive a lower consistency score, as performance unpredictability is the primary enemy of competitive muscle memory.
C.Scoring system
The Weighted Index
My overall score is calculated using a proprietary weighted formula that prioritizes metrics defining the competitive experience.
SCORE = (LATENCY × 0.30) + (CONSISTENCY × 0.25)
+ (BUILD × 0.20) + (FIRMWARE × 0.15)
+ (VALUE × 0.10)

D.Tier definitions
S
S Tier — Best in class
Score ≥ 90. Top-performing hardware with exceptional latency and consistency. Highly Recommended for competitive use.
A
A Tier — Excellent
Score 75–89. Strong all-round performance with minor trade-offs. Recommended for most users.
B
B Tier — Good
Score 60–74. Solid hardware with noticeable compromises. Recommended for casual or budget-conscious buyers.
C
C Tier — Average
Score 45–59. Below-average performance for competitive use. Situational — depends on use case and price.
F
F Tier — Not recommended
Score < 45. Significant performance issues detected. Not recommended for latency-sensitive applications.
